About Me
I was called out of darkness into His wonderful light and I want to share my story.
I am a former Jehovah’s Witness. In fact I was born into the religion as a 5th generation Jehovah’s Witness. Several years after both my mother and I walked away from the religion, her life was tragically taken at the hands of her third husband, when I was 26.
Seeking wholeness after her murder, my mom’s questions about her faith and her inability to continue in the self-defeating cycle it led to, compelled me to dive deeper. As a survivor, where would I find hope?
I want to share my journey through pain—questioning everything that truly matters—and discovering the hope and healing I so desperately sought through Jesus Christ.

Did what I had been taught as the “only true religion” truly reflect who God is?
What am I going to teach my kids about God?
I believe in a Creator God, but what else do I really know about Him?
Why does pleasing you seem so hard, God?
Do you even care about my pain?
God met me in those questions and what He revealed to me was so very different from what I had been taught. I came to understand the nature of a faithful and compassionate God—one who meets us in our frailty and empowers us by His Spirit. Through His strength, I escaped the weight of guilt that came from leaving my childhood faith. I had been trapped in a cycle of striving and man-made legalism—the only life I knew, yet one that was impossible to sustain.

You may know John 3:16. But do you know verse 17? “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” (NIV)
I want to share with you the truth of scripture that set me free.
“I understand it is not my perfection that makes me righteous, it’s God’s forgiveness.” (from My Testimony, click below to read)

Words of life:
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9 NIV
For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves. Colossians 1:13 NIV
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. John 3:16-18 NIV
God’s love has reached the coldest places in me and brought warmth, color and growth into my life. A vitality that sparked a flame for sharing the light of truth of God’s Word with other.
